Paul Dean Williams, 86, of San Angelo, TX was called home to be with his Lord and Savior Saturday, December 14, 2024. Visitation will be held from 4-6 pm, Wednesday, December 18, 2024, at Harper Funeral Home. Services will be held at 11 am, Thursday, December 19, 2024, at Harper Funeral Home with graveside to follow at Johnson’s Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens.
Paul was born on September 8, 1938, in Henderson, TX to Nelda (Minor) and Edgar Williams. He had one brother, Charles Williams. He graduated from Kilgore High School and attended Kilgore College. Paul received a degree in art history at Angelo State University.
He served four years in the United States Air Force. Then he served 35 years as a civilian for the Air Force. He retired from Goodfellow Air Force Base in 1999 as a graphic design supervisor.
Paul met the love of his life, Ann on a blind date in San Angelo in 1963. They were married on January 12, 1964, and enjoyed 58 wonderful years together. Paul and Ann were active members of Christian Church of San Angelo for over 20 years.
Paul and Ann loved antiquing and started a side business called Texas Trails Antiques. They had booths at American British Antiques in San Angelo, Fredericksburg, and Salado.
Paul was an avid fisherman, and one of his favorite spots was in Colorado catching rainbow trout. He was an artist who documented his travels and life experiences through his artwork. He was also an avocational clocksmith. He most enjoyed spending time with his family.
He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Dorothy Ann Williams; his parents, Nelda, and Edgar Williams; and his brother, Charles Williams.
Paul is survived by his daughters, Laurel Wiggin and Becky Riemenschneider and her husband, Jimmy; grandchildren, Meagan Paulovkin and her husband, Jason, Katie Wiggin, and James Riemenschneider; great grandson, Samuel Paulovkin; and numerous cousins and extended family.
