Eleanor Ferdin Renteria, 61, of San Angelo went to be with the Lord on Friday, November 22, 2024, in San Angelo surrounded by her loving family. Eleanor was born on September 2, 1963, to Gilbert and Antoinette Ferdin in Oakland, California. She grew up in Roby, Texas and graduated from High School in 1981. After High School, she attended West Texas College and received her associate’s degree. Eleanor met and later married Pedro Lopez and they raised 3 children, Anthony, Yolanda and Michael. Eleanor developed a strong work ethic during her lifetime, working at various companies from managing restaurants to loan companies. She was a loving mother, grandmother and sister. She loved cooking for her family and especially baking things from scratch. You could always count on her for a good meal. Her favorite thing was spending time with her grandchildren. No matter what the circumstances of her long hours at work, she always made time for her grandchildren and adored doing all kinds of activities with them. Her strength to persevere in life and the love of her family will remain in our hearts forever and we will dearly miss her! Eleanor was preceded in death by her husbands, Pedro Lopez and Rosalio Renteria, her son, Anthony Lopez and her granddaughter, Samantha Ibarra. She is survived by her children, Yolanda Lopez and Michael Lopez and his wife, Tasha, all of San Angelo; her grandchildren, Benjamin Ibarra, Santana Ramirez, Klarissa Lopez, Madalynn Lopez and Marcus Lopez; her great, great grandchildren, Aviana Ramirez, Sarahi Ramirez, Santana Ramirez IV, Jesse Rios II and Javier Rios; her sister, Victoria Nunez and her husband Reggie Nunez, of Odessa, TX; and numerous nieces and nephews, other family members and close friends. She is also survived by her pet German Shepherd she lovingly called “Baby.” Eleanor will be available for viewing from 8:00 A.M. – 1:00 P.M., Tuesday, November 26, 2024. The Funeral Service will be at 1:00 P.M., Tuesday, November 26, 2024, at Harper Funeral Home.
