Landra Kristin Stanley, 37, of San Angelo went to be with the Lord on Monday, November 18, 2024, in San Angelo. Landra was born on December 9, 1986, in Lubbock, Texas to Lanny Cliff Wood and Lesa Templeton Wood. She grew up in Denver City, Texas and graduated from Denver City High School. After high school, she attended Angelo State University where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology. She met and married the love of her life Matt Stanley while attending ASU and they were married May 29, 2010. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife and mother who devoted her life to her family. Her career path led her to work for Veribest ISD, Grape Creek ISD, Glen Meadows Joy School, Rio Vista Head Start, and finally John Glenn Middle School where she was currently teaching and coaching. Landra was a very giving and selfless person; she loved people, and she was always thinking of others. She loved investing in relationships and putting other people’s needs before her own. Landra especially adored her children and family, tirelessly being the best Wife and Mom she could be. Landra also had tremendous faith in her Lord Jesus Christ, and loved her church family. In her spare time, she loved traveling and seeing the world with her best friend, Matt, and their kids. At the end of every trip, she would ask where they were going for their next adventure.
Her zest for life was infectious, with a laugh that will forever ring in the hearts of those close to her. Landra leaves an unimaginable hole in the hearts of her people, but her impact will carry on with those blessed to know her.
Landra was preceded in death by her grandparents, Gene Templeton, Herman and Rita Lavern Wood, one uncle, Danny Wood and one cousin Luke Templeton. She is survived by her husband, Matt Stanley and their children Karsyn Jo, Jordyn Rose and Nash Edward Stanley, and a special bonus child Bryson Williams, all of San Angelo; her parents, Lesa Wood, of Ropesville, TX, Lanny Wood, of San Angelo; her grandmother, Helen Templeton, of Earth, TX; her mother and father-in-law, Tibby and Judy Stanley, of San Angelo; her brother, Logan Wood and his wife Cally, of Midland, TX; her sister-in-law, Dawn Stevens and her husband Toby, of League City, TX; her nieces and nephew Lane Wood, Reagan Stevens and Harper Stevens; and numerous other aunts, uncles, cousins, family members and close friends. A Celebration of Landra’s Life will be at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, November 23, 2024, at Paul Ann Church in San Angelo.
Landra was so giving and selfless, that even after death her final act of love for others was through organ donation which has already saved two people’s lives. Her bright shining light and love will continue to live on in her family and in others forever! We will dearly miss her!
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a gofundme setup for her children.
