Charolett Lanette Flippo Judd was born in Lamesa on February 19, 1950. She lived in Lamesa then Stanton until her senior year of high school then moved to Athens. She moved to Big Lake after high school where she met and married the love of her life, Lightning Judd. She worked various jobs until entering nursing school and received her LVN degree. After many years, she returned to nursing school and obtained her RN degree. She continued furthering her knowledge by taking many certification courses so she could provide top of the line care for all her beloved patients.
Charolett was an angel sent to heal and care for the people in her community. She poured her heart and soul into her nursing career and loved every moment of it. Her passion for learning was in every aspect of her life. She enjoyed reading any book she could get her hands on and watched documentary TV with a fervor. She loved nature and quite often was found fishing, riding the tractor or just sitting by a fire enjoying the sounds of birds and other wildlife. She was very talented in many ways and showed it with her crafting, sewing, quilting and needlework. After her retirement, she loved to make and sell wreaths for the holidays. Her passion for nursing never wanted and she missed her patients all the time.
She is survived by her daughter, Darla Casteel of Clifton; son, Randy Judd of Clearfield, Utah; grandson, Charles Judd of Clifton; granddaughter, Alexandra Judd of Clearfield, Utah; two sisters, Linda Clark and husband Larry of Big Lake and Darlene Nicholson of Stanton; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Carlos "Lightning" Judd, granddaughter Robyn Judd, grandson Chase Judd, mother Lanita Whitley, father George T. Flippo, brother Tommy Flippo, sister Brenda Heifner and nephew Cas Smith.
She will be dearly missed by her family and friends as she was a bright light and mentor to many. Mama Charolett touched so many people's lives and hearts that the world is a dimmer place without her.
