Cletus James "Jim" Brisbin

Cletus James "Jim" Brisbin, 88, of Sonora, Texas, passed away on October 28, 2024,, in Sonora, Texas. 

Jim was born November 22, 1935, in Altus, Oklahoma. Jim served in the United States Air Force and then worked in the gas industry in New Mexico and Texas. In Jim's free time he enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, marksmanship and reading. Jim served as a proud member of the Lions Club of Sonora and the Texas Silver Haired Legislature.

Jim is survived by: his wife Brigitte Rogers of Sonora, Texas; children Phyllis Brisbin of Pecos, Texas, Cheryl "Cherry" Knobloch and husband Kurt, of Chesapeake, Virginia, Doraine "Dorry" Batchelder and husband Terry, of Carlsbad, New Mexico, step-children Patrick Rogers and wife Robin of Dallas, Texas and Heidi Towery and husband Ken of McKinney, Texas; grandchildren Jene, Meagan, James, Tyler, Benjamin and Catherine; great-grandchild Theo; and nephews Steven and Kevin. 

Jim is predeceased by his first wife, Virginia Brisbin, daughter Kathleen "Kathy" Brisbin, brother Ronnie Brisbin, and parents Leo and Lena Brisbin.

Viewing will be in Sonora, Texas at Love Funeral Home, 409 SE 2nd Street, on Saturday, November 9, 2024 from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Sunday November 10, 2024 from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Funeral Services will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Monday November 11, 2024, at St. Ann's Catholic church, 311 Plum St,, Sonora, Texas, with burial following at the Sonora Cemetery located at 515 N. Service Rd., Sonora, Texas.
