Jason Lee Blackstock, 46, of Bronte, Texas, passed away on October 23, 2024, in San Angelo. Jason was born on September 17, 1978, to Bill Blackstock and Martha Ann Walker. He spent his younger years in Big Lake, TX but later the family moved to Bronte, and he graduated from Bronte High School. After graduation he went to work for the Wendland Ranch. During his career he would work for the Arrott Farm and Ranch, the Graves Farm and Ranch and ended his career as a pen rider working for Hadley Feeders. He found joy in working with livestock and being close to nature. Jason had a quiet demeanor but loved to share a laugh and joke with family and friends. He was happiest outdoors, whether riding horses, fishing, hunting or simply spending time with those he loved. He was preceded in death by his father, Bill Blackstock, and his grandparents, Gorman and Jewell Walker, as well as his aunts, Janet Graves and Cathy McGinley. Jason is survived by his mother, Matha Walker; his brother, Tony Blackstock; his daughter, Chyla Marriott; his uncle, Jimmie Walker; his aunt, Linda Jones; and numerous nieces and nephews. The celebration of Jason’s life will be at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, November 2, 2024, at Bronte Methodist Church in Bronte, Texas.
