Ida Louise Kinsley, 90, of San Angelo, passed away peacefully on September 28, 2024. Known affectionately as Louise to her family and friends, she was born on February 4, 1934, in Concho, Texas, to Jeff and Hester Beard. Louise graduated from Paint Rock High School in 1950 and devoted 20 years of her career to the San Angelo State School as a Recreation Specialist.
On April 18, 1954, Louise married Bob Kinsley, with whom she shared a loving partnership and raised three children. As a proud Navy wife, Louise embraced a life of travel, supporting her husband as they moved from coast to coast for two decades. Her community involvement included being an active member of the Business Men’s and Women’s Bible Class.
Louise was well-known for her exceptional gardening skills and her nurturing spirit towards family and friends. She leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and devotion.
Visitation will be Tuesday, October 1, 2024 from 6-8 pm at Johnson’s Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 2, 2024, at 10:00 am in Johnson’s Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Concho Cemetery.
Pallbearers for the service will include Bobby Kinsley, Dana Tipton, Earl Miles, Jim Carlson, Christopher Tipton, and Thomas Tipton.
Louise is preceded in death by her parents, Jeff and Hester Beard; her beloved husband, Bob Kinsley; and her daughter, Sandy Kinsley. She is survived by her siblings, Sarah Craig and J.L. (Sonny) Beard; her children, Bobby Kinsley and Carolyn (Dana) Tipton; five grandchildren, Christopher (Lesli) Tipton, Thomas (Sunni) Tipton, Lydia (Victor) Clark, Nicholas Chavez, and Adrianna Lozano; nine great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the Business Men’s and Women’s Bible Class or a charity of your choice. The family expresses heartfelt gratitude to Ballinger Hospital, Shannon 4 North, and Angels Home Health for their compassionate care.
Louise’s warmth and love will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
