Peggy Eudy, 93, went to be with her loving Savior surrounded by her family on Friday, September 27, 2024.
She was born on May 24, 1931 to Lloyd McCleskey and Eula Norred McCleskey in Bronte, TX. Peggy was raised in Bronte and graduated from Bronte ISD. She worked as a phone operator at the local Bronte Phone Company and then moved to San Angelo and worked in the GTE Phone Office as an Operator.
On February 11, 1961, she married Billy Eudy in San Angelo at the Lakeview Methodist Church. They settled on the family farm near Veribest and raised two daughters. She enjoyed living in the country and being a stay-at-home Mom, which was a full-time job. She loved cooking for her family and spending time with her Grandkids. They were faithful members of the Veribest United Methodist Church. Peggy was active in many ways at the church; from singing alto in the choir to long time Sunday School teacher, Church Secretary/Treasurer, Lay Leader and UMW President. She wrote hundreds of cards of encouragement to let people know they were being lifted up in prayer, too.
Peggy is preceded in death by her husband Billy Eudy and parents Lloyd McCleskey and Eula Norred McCleskey.
She is survived by her two daughters Renonia West and husband Mike of Miles and Janna Rouse and husband Jamie of San Angelo. Peggy is also survived by her four grandchildren Ryan West, Sarah West Drzycimski and husband Daniel Drzycimski, James Rouse, Nicole Rouse McGuire and husband Jared McGuire and their daughter Deborah Fae McGuire.
A visitation for Peggy will be held on Monday, September 30, 2024 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Harper Funeral Home in San Angelo. Her graveside service will be held the following day, Tuesday, October 1, 2024 at 10:00 am at Miles Cemetery with Pastor Michael Thomson officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Miles Methodist Church or Calvary Baptist Church.
We also thank her long time NP, Jerrie Smithwick, Gentiva Hospice, her Gentiva Nurse, Sarai Cox who was an absolute God send. Thanks also to Sagecrest Care Center-Mayfield unit for treating our Mom like family.
