Patsy Gayle Howard Musick, 87, passed away Monday, September 16, 2024, at Sterling County Nursing Home. She was born to Jack and Ozell Howard on September 12, 1937, in Shep, Texas. She grew up in Monahans. She met the love of her life, Troy Winford Musick, in Odessa and they were married in 1955. They had five children: Debbie Fry (Tommy), Wes Musick (Casey), John Musick (Margaret), Becki Salandy, and Marla Pina (Julio). She loved visiting with her 14 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and the 2 great-great-grandchildren and was eagerly awaiting the arrival of her 19th great-grandson due in November.
Patsy worked as a bookkeeper, homemaker and especially enjoyed her time with Comfort Keepers. Her hobbies included researching her family genealogy, studying her bible and enjoying any of her many cats.
Patsy was preceded in death by her husband, Troy, and her sisters Joyce Barton and Jackie Ripley.
In addition to her loving family, Patsy leaves behind a very special sister-in-law Melba Musick.
Services will be held at Johnson’s Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Sunday, September 22 from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM. The funeral will be held on Monday, September 23 at 10:00 AM followed by a reception. Graveside services for the family will follow in Shep.
