Richard Frank Uherik, ninety, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, September 14, 2024, while in his home as he had requested, surrounded by his loved ones.
Richard was born in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania on March 31, 1934, to Frank Uherik and Anna Povolka Uherik. He married Lyda Joan Uherik on November 12, 1955. Together they had one child, Dennis Jay Uherik. Richard worked as an Engineer for the Texas Highway Department until his retirement. He also spent many years working for Wilson Williams Surveyors. After his retirement, he decided to buy a motorcycle and another faster motorcycle and continued to ride into his eighties. He then bought a 32 Coupe Hotrod which he drove around town. He loved working with his hands and built scale model airplanes in his spare time. Richard was a loving and devoted father, grandfather and great-grandfather and will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and sister, Sue Jurecko of Corpus Christi. He leaves behind his son, Jay Uherik and wife, Beth Uherik, grandsons Luke Uherik and wife, Lesli, and Josh Uherik and wife, Sara, five beautiful great-granddaughters, Charli Uherik, Lissi Uherik, Lydia Uherik, Morgan Uherik and Maizi Uherik.

A visitation will be held at Harper Funeral Home on Monday September 16, 2024, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, September 17, 2024 at Fairmount Cemetery at 10:00 A. Arrangements are being held under the direction of Harper Funeral Home.
The family requests memorials to be made to First Presbyterian Church of San Angelo, Texas or St. Gabriel’s Hospice of San Angelo, Texas.
Pallbearers will be Luke Uherik, Josh Uherik, Alan Hill, Roy Jackson, Todd Scott and Mike Young.
