Beulah Pfeiffer Collins, 92, of San Angelo passed away peacefully to the arms of her Heavenly Father on Friday, September 13, 2024 after a brief battle with cancer. Beulah was born on September 12, 1932 in Miles, Texas to Alex and Mamie Pfeiffer. Beulah married Billy B. Collins on December 16, 1950.
They were married 55 years. She worked for Levi Strauss 22 years retiring in June of 1987. She then worked in the Grape Creek and San Angelo ISD school cafeterias for 10 years. After retiring, she remained busy with hobbies and actively traveling with family and friends by car, plane, Amtrack trains and cruises.
Beulah loved life and people. She enjoyed her monthly luncheons with the Johnson's LIFT group and Hospice group. Her favorite activities were spending time with her family and friends. She had a passion for weekly dancing and karaoke at the San Angelo VFW with her very special friend Jesse and their friends. Her hobbies were reading, sewing, gardening, and cooking. Her signature dishes were chicken fried deer steak and pinto beans.
Beulah spent her lifetime as a devoted follower of Jesus. She lived her faith openly and joyfully. She was a member of New Hope Bible Church.
She is survived by her daughter Linda Offill and husband Rick, son Micky Collins and wife Kerrie, grandchildren Robbie Simpson and husband Jeremy, Mason Collins and wife Stacey and Morgan Morriss and husband Ethan, the lights of her life her 5 great granddaughters Avery, Rylee and Madison Simpson and Bindi and Ember Collins, sister Fay Doran and sister-in-law Sue Burk, numerous nieces and nephews.
Also her many close friends that were so dear to her heart.
She was preceded in death by her husband Bill, her brother Arvid Pfeiffer, special friend Jesse and sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Daryl and Cleta Collins, Leo Doran, Rodney and Norma Dyer, a niece, Caroline Dyer and nephews, Ronnie and Gene McDaniel.
Her family wants to give special thanks to Dr. Cheruku, Dr. Dale Beran, staff at Shannon 6th floor south, Meadow Creek Nursing Home and St. Gabriel's Hospice for your care of our Mom.
Visitation will be Thursday, September 19 from 6 - 8 pm at Johnson's Funeral Home. Service will be Friday, September 20 at 10:00 am in Johnson's Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Johnson's Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers please make donations to St. Gabriel's Hospice or charity of your choice.
