Gudalupe (Lupe) Rocha, of San Angelo, passed away on July 18, 2024, at the age of 89. He was born on December 16, 1934, in Reedville, TX, to parents Demetrio and Monica (Silva) Rocha. Lupe Rocha served in the United States Navy from 1956-1960. He was very involved in the catholic church, and his faith meant everything to him.
Psalm 91; whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most high will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the lord “He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.
Lupe Rocha is survived by his wife Carmen Rocha, his six children; Gina (Matthew) Espinosa, Teresa Rocha, Michael Rocha, Gabriel (Akiko) Rocha, Ralph Rocha, and Angel Rocha; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren: Gabriel Espinosa, Isabella Espinosa, Jasmine Rodriguez, Taryn Rocha, Joshua Rodriguez, Khaleesi Premo, Khloe Espinoza, Hana Rocha, Lynn Rocha, Mai Rocha, Alejandro Rocha, Cierra Castaneda, John Ramirez, Ozias Sanchez, Arce Ramirez, and Jesiah Castillo.
He is also survived by sister Elodia Galindo from Chandler, AZ, brother Marcos (Ramona) Rocha from Big Spring, TX, brother Roman (Sally) Rocha from Austin, TX and Mary Jane (Jake) Leyva from Bryan, TX. Lupe has many nieces and nephews as well. Lupe was preceded in death by his parents Demetrio and Monica Rocha, his brother Joe Rocha, sister Teresa Rocha, brother Domingo Rocha, and sister Bernarda Alviar.
A special thank you goes to Gentiva Hospice, especially Kayla, Rosie, Chaplain Clint, Jackie and Stephanie. As well as Meals for the Elderly for the loving care they offered the family. We would also like to thank Sandy Woods, Nazar Abdal-Satar, and Robert and Rosalinda Rodriguez for all their love and support.
Gabriel Espinosa, Joshua Rodriguez, Alejandro Rocha, Jesiah Castillo, John Ramirez, and Isabella Espinosa will be honorary pallbearers.
The rosary will be Thursday, July 25, 2024, at Harper Funeral Home at 6 pm.
The mass will be Friday, July 26, 2024, at 10 am at Holy Angels Catholic Church with Father Santiago officiating.
