Mrs. Aguirre was born on May 27, 1939 in Acuna, Coahuila, Mexico to Leandro Rabago & Maria Hernandez. She married the love of her life and forever sweetie, David Aguirre, in September of 1959. Esperanza was an exceptional mother & wife. She took pride in her home, appearance, cooking, but most importantly in her family. She enjoyed crocheting & quilting gifts for her family & friends. Esperanza leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and togetherness. Referred to as "Mama" by all of her children, grandchildren, & great grandchildren, she took pride in holding that title and being the matriarch of her large family. The favorite pastime of her grandchildren will always be telling stories about "Mama." Anyone who encountered Esperanza was sure to have a funny story to tell about her lively personality or about her beautiful high heels, which she wore well into her golden years. Esperanza takes with her many memories of love & laughter, and unfortunately, the recipes she always refused to share with anyone because "they were her secret recipe."
She is preceded in death by both parents, her Stepmother Agustina, a sister, Maria De La Cruz; a grandson , Javier Cruz Aguirre, and a great grandson, Arturo Eric Aguirre.
Esperanza is survived by her husband of 64 years, David; 7 children, Guadalupe (wife, Karina), Jose Luis (wife, Carmen), Arturo, Ana, Ernesto (wife, Adilene), Santos (wife, Janet), and Osbaldo (wife, Rosalva); a granddaughter she raised, Rosie Castañeda (husband, Edmundo); a brother, Guadalupe Rodriguez; a sister, Martina Garcia; 34 grandchildren; 44 great grandchildren; and one great-great grandson.
"Mama, te queremos hoy, mañana y siempre. Dejas un vacio en nuestro corazon que nunca sanara. Ahora descanse Madresita, que nosotros cuidaremos a nuestra Papa. Te amamos bonita."
The family would like to thank Hospice of San Angelo, in particular Diana Dehoyos, for the exceptional care provided during our Mother's journey.
