Johnny Granado Jr, age 68, of San Angelo, TX was called by God on May 31, 2024. He was born on October 29,1955 to Johnny Granado Sr. and Aurora D. Granado in Marfa, TX. Johnny was raised in the Catholic faith and graduated from Marfa High School in 1974. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy and proudly served from 1974 to 1980. Johnny also attended Sul Ross State University. He loved to do many things such as fishing, hunting, camping, shooting, BBQ cooking, as well as spending time with family and friends. Johnny was a quiet and gentle man, however he did have a very humorous side to him and liked laughing at many of his own jokes. He was a person who didn't have the word “No” in his vocabulary. He was always there to lend a helping hand. He loved with all his heart with everything he did, but most importantly he enjoyed spending time with his loved ones and old-time friends.
He is survived by his partner Joy (Cissi) Wood; father Johnny Granado Sr., children: Lauren Michelle Campos and husband Tomas, Michael Vincent Granado; siblings Valery G. Baeza and husband Frank, Veronica G. Mees and husband Mitchell, Diane Granado; grandchildren Alexander Granado, Andrew Granado, Anthony Campos, Alyssa Campos, Jaylen (Spudsy) Cook, Paxton Cook and Landon Cook; favorite "brothers" John (Rusty) Lujan and Frank Baeza as well as numerous special nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He is preceded in death by his mother, Aurora D. Granado, son, Christopher John Granado, sister, Melissa G. Lujan.
A rosary will be held on Tuesday, June 4, 2024 at 6:15 PM at Harper Funeral Home, San Angelo, TX.
