Velma Pearl Knox was born December 8, 1938, in San Angelo, TX and went to join family in heaven on May 30, 2024. She was a 1951 graduate from Central High School. She married Max Knox on March 9, 1956, in San Angelo. They lived in Abilene, Lubbock, Post and moved back to San Angelo in 1968. Velma worked at several banks in the home loan departments. When Rebecca (aka Becky, sister) was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes, she started her own cleaning business in San Angelo and surrounding counties for farmers and ranchers. She was always the happiest when she was helping someone or taking care of them. She took Rebecca all over to numerous doctors and hospitals and donated one of her kidneys to her. After Rebecca passed away, Max was diagnosed with Parkinson’s, and she took care of him until he passed. She then went to work at her church and Rust Street Ministries.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Max, daughter Rebecca aka Becky, her parents Henry and Louise Parker, sister Melba Kay Lee, brother Herbert Mike Parker, brother-in-law Robert F. Knox, Jr. aka Bo, and great granddaughter Kadyn Paige Wilson.
Survivors include son Clifton “Clif” Knox and wife Judy; grandson Bo Knox and wife Angela; granddaughter Rindi Wilson and husband Stephen; Grandson Dusty White and wife Jennifer; great-grandchildren Rylie and Taylor White, Kalyn Belle and Brynlie Rose Wilson and Annalise; sister-in-law Becky Knox; niece Jennifer Heartsock and husband Jamie; and great nephews Justin, Jason and great niece Jordyn; son-in-law Michael White; and brother-in-law Richard “Dick” Lee.
