Lydia "GG" Cuellar, 97, of San Angelo, passed away on April 12, 2024. She was born on December 24, 1926 in Colorado City, TX to Guadalupe Gloria and Antonia Carrasco. She married the love of her life Valeriano "Bob" Cuellar on August 5, 1946 In San Angelo and together began their family.
Lydia served at Primera Church for most of her life where she shared her passion for the Lord. She spent her time loving our littlest members at the Nursery for more than 20 years. Her friends and family were blessed to witness her faith, wisdom, and unconditional love. Lydia was the working hands and feet of the Lord as she served in ministry and her community. Two of her favorite hymns include "What a friend we have in Jesus" and "How great thou Art". She was our prayer warrior with a faithful heart and a great mentor to all who knew her.
Lydia was preceded in death by her loving husband Bob Cuellar, parents Guadalupe Gloria, Juan and Antonia Carrasco, granddaughter Jenny Cuellar, son-in-law Johnny Fira, brothers Faustino, Santos, Jesse, and Ted.
Left to cherish her precious memory: Sister Pasquala Sanchez of Robert Lee, TX, son Robert (Olga) Cuellar, son Richard (Alicia) Cuellar, and daughter Linda Fira all of San Angelo. Grandchildren, Travis Cuellar, Kristen Borrego, Joshua (Stacy) Fira of San Angelo, Nicole (Ricky) Kenmure of League City, TX, JT (Leddy) Thibodeaux of Austin, TX. 10 great-grandchildren and 1 great great-grandchild. Numerous nieces and nephews including Olivia Gloria who was considered a daughter. Lydia was known by all who loved her as "GG" or "Mom" and they all brought her the greatest of joy when spending time with her.
There will be a viewing on Friday, April 19, 2024 from 5-7pm at Harper Funeral Home, 2606 Southland Blvd.
Celebration of life service on Saturday, April 20, 2024 at 10am held at Primera Church of San Angelo, 23 W Ave J.
