Cloyes H. Key, age 91 passed away on Sunday, March 17, 2024. Cloyes was born in Gomez, Texas to Buster and Bonnie (Black) Key on June 1, 1932.
Cloyes began working at an early age and went on to join the United States Army and served our country during the Korean War. He married the love of his life, Brookie Key on November 1st, 1952. Cloyes worked for Penzoil/Duvall as a Production Foreman.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Wanda Fortenberry; his brother-in-law, Paul Fortenberry, his brothers, Bruce Melton and Blackie Key, his son-in-law, Steve Nowlin, his brother-in-law, Johnny O'neal and his sister-in-law, Faye Key.
Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of over 71 years, Brookie Key; his children, Nadine Nowlin, Tony Key, Joe Key and his wife Carole; his grandchildren, Brandi Jannamon and Scott Jannamon, Rebecca and Shannon Walker, Joseph Key and Randall Key, as well as his great grandchildren, Tyler Griffith, Justin Jannamon, Braden Jannamon, Jace Jannamon, Britney Walker and son Brax, Landon Walker and sons Remington and Stetson, and Clay Walker.
An open visitation will be held Wednesday, March 20, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM at Johnson's Funeral Home, 435 West Beauregard Avenue, San Angelo, Texas. A graveside service for Cloyes will be at 2:00 PM at Fairmount Cemetery, 1120 West Avenue N, San Angelo, Texas.
