Alfredo Pedroza Martinez, aged 79, passed away on Saturday, March 2, 2024, at his residence in San Angelo. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, he will be fondly remembered for his selfless nature and unwavering love for his family.
A Celebration of Life Service to honor and remember him will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, March 7, 2024, at Santa Angela Gospel Center with Pastor Linda Martinez, officiating the ceremony. Arrangements are under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home.
Born in Vick, Texas, Alfredo dedicated 30 years of his life to landscaping at Angelo State University before retiring in 2005. Despite his demanding work, he always found time to indulge in his hobbies, whether it was fishing, playing golf, or watching movies. His infectious laughter and unwavering faith in the Lord left a lasting impression on everyone he encountered.
Alfredo was blessed with a beautiful family that brought immense joy into his life. He is survived by his loving spouse, Blanca Margarita Lopez, and two children Steve Martinez and wife Tessa, Rebecca Martinez, stepdaughter Gracie Garcia and spouse Marcus, stepdaughter Melissa Ramirez and stepson Gerarrdo Lopez Jr..Additionally, he leaves behind five siblings, Jimmy Pedroza Martinez and wife Regina, Alejandro P. Martinez, Belia M. Deanda and husband Santos, Carmel Martinez, and Ester P. Martinez and husband Eric, as well as eight grandchildren, Regina Martinez and husband Michael, Miguel A Trinidad, Anthony Garcia and wife Ada, Britnay Garcia, Ryan Garcia, Jesse Garcia, Ray Ramirez and wife Valarie, and Alizandra Garcia; and eight great-grandchildren Emma Martinez, Dominic Martinez, Rylie Ramirez, Kinsley Ramirez, Kynlie Garcia, Kamryn Garcia, Khloe Garcia, and Kingston Garcia.
Alfred is preceded in death by his parents, Anastacio and Adelfina Pedroza Martinez; three sisters, Flora P. Martinez, Erlinda M. Talamentes, and Esperanza P. Martinez; and a brother Raul P. Martinez.
His departure leaves a void in the hearts of those who knew and loved him, but his spirit will forever be cherished through the memories he leaves behind. Alfredo's greatest prayer was to fill the church, we would like to honor him by filling the church in celebration of his life.
