Ronald "Ron" Dean Hubert

Ronald “Ron” Dean Hubert age 69 of San Angelo passed away on January 19, 2024, at his home while surrounded by family. He was born on August 17, 1954, in Minneapolis, MN to Donald Raymond Hubert and Ann Doreen Peterson.

Ron’s attraction to hair began at a young age when he cut his sister Donna’s Barbie dolls hair and couldn’t understand why their hair didn’t grow back. He then progressed to brushing and fixing his aunt’s hair and braiding Donna’s hair at age 7.

Ron was a graduate of Jean’s College of Beauty and began his love of being a hairdresser. He was a talented and creative stylist who worked in San Angelo and Dallas for 43 years. At his time of retirement, in October 2023 he was at Touch of Europe.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Clay Hubert. He is survived by his brother Roger and wife Brenda of Floresville, TX; sister, Donna Scherz and William of San Angelo, TX; sister, Priscilla Butler and Jerry of Borger, TX; sister-in-law, Donna Hubert of Carlsbad, TX. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and many cousins as well as his pets Lady, Bunnie and Snow.

The family will have a visitation from 5:00 to 7:00 PM on Thursday, January 25, 2024, at Harper Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, January 26, 2024, at Harper Funeral Home. Graveside will follow immediately following the service at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens. The family would like to thank Gentiva Hospice nurse Myra, Clergymen Clint Connor and Samantha and Ann for caring for our beloved Ron during the last few weeks.
