Kathryn Faye Hash, 82, of San Angelo, Texas passed away peacefully on January 1st, 2024 surrounded by her loved ones. Kathy was born in Mattoon, Illinois on September 13, 1941 to Ralph and Nelly Janes. She was raised in Dana, Indiana where she made many lifelong friendships and graduated from Dana High School in 1959. Kathy married Richard Gibson in 1961, later moving to San Angelo, TX where they raised their four children together.
She later married the love of her life, Paul Hash, in 1984, expanding her family with him and his four children. Kathy worked for State Farm San Angelo Claims for 22 years, retiring in 1999. Kathy enjoyed spending time with her extensive family, reading thrillers and mystery novels, being outdoors with nature, gardening, and loving on her beloved pets. She and Paul loved to travel and shared many happy memories on their journeys. Kathy was a kind and caring, God-fearing woman. She was strong-willed, had a wonderful sense of humor, and loved fiercely. Her family was everything to her, and she was extremely proud of ALL of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She took every opportunity to express the pride she had for her family.
Kathy was preceded in death by her parents, her son Kirt, her grandsons Ryan and Michael, her granddaughters Danielle and Whitney, and Paul, her husband of 39 years. She is survived by sister Dorty, sons Tony and Patrick, daughter Tiffany and son-in-law Bobby, step-sons, Paul Jr. and Andy (wife Melissa), step-daughters Susan (husband Bobby) and Diana, nephew Charlie (wife Denise), niece Dortha Faye (husband Phil) and many cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The Memorial Service will be 11:00 A.M., Saturday, January 6, 2024, at Harper Funeral Home with Mike Thompson officiating.
