Epifanio "Joe" Estrada, 71, of San Angelo passed away on Sunday, December 24, 2023.
Viewing will be from 10:00 AM - 8:00 PM on Friday, December 29, 2023 at Robert Massie Funeral Home with a prayer service at 6:00 PM. Funeral Services will be at 10:00 AM Saturday at Robert Massie Funeral Home with Pastor Steve Hamm, of Cross Roads Assembly of God Church, officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home.
Mr. Estrada was born on January 4, 1952 in Abilene to Gregorio and Beatriz Estrada. Joe graduated from Abilene High School in 1972 and attended Cisco Junior College. He worked at Mathis Field painting airplanes for several years. Joe later worked for the City of San Angelo in the traffic control division painting streets. He married Sylvia Robles on October 5, 2002 in Mason, TX. He played the guitar and the 5-string bass in many bands including the Emotions, in Abilene, Black Oak Arkansas, Willie Nelson, G-5 Project, La Lumbre, La Formula, Cellos and Reload. Joe was a member of Survivors United MC for over 20 years. He loved riding and working on motorcycles, and watching wrestling with his grandson, Jr. Joe loved to spend time with his family and was a joy to be around, often telling jokes and stories.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Carmella Estrada in 2015; his son, Robert Robles in 2018; and a granddaughter, Janiya Noelia Martinez in 2015.
Survivors include his wife, Sylvia; two daughters, Noemi Estrada of San Angelo and Twila Rose Goshert of Abilene; a son, Joe Robles, Jr. of San Angelo; his five siblings, Manuela Estrada of Abilene, Guadalupe Gutierrez of Abilene, Ramiro Estrada of Anson, Mariana Rivas of Anson, and Nicolas Estrada; 21 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
