In loving memory of Rosa Isela Cadena (also lovingly known as Chichela), a devoted mother and cherished grandmother who journeyed from Mexico to build a better life for herself and her family. Rosa was born on July 1, 1964 in Acuna, Coahuila, Mexico and left us Wednesday, December 13, 2023. Rosa's fiery spirit and unwavering strength inspired everyone around her to persevere and reach for their dreams.
She enjoyed shopping for her grandchildren and decorating her home. She loved to cook delicious meals and gather family and loved ones around her kitchen. Whether someone was hungry or not, she found joy in preparing feasts and creating a haven where the smell of her dishes welcomed all who came into her home. The holidays were special events in her house, bringing everyone together and giving her an opportunity to beat all at loteria.
Rosa impacted many lives around her. She was never afraid to help loved ones or strangers. Even as she was battling health issues, she remained a pillar of strength for her family and her infectious laugh brightened everyone's day. Her acts of kindness will be the guiding light for the loved ones she leaves behind.
Rosa is survived by her father, Tomas Cadena; her six sons, Isaac Cadena, Jose Roberto Cadena, Leroy Cadena, Ernesto Cadena, Lucio Cadena Padron, and Rolando Cadena; her siblings, Thomas Cadena, Rodolfo Cadena, Benito Cadena, Dora Alicia Hernandez, and Araceli Cadena; four beloved grandchildren, Destiny Alyse Cadena, Joe Nathaniel Cadena, Jayvien Gamez, Thomas Eliaz Cadena.
