Gus Andrew “Andy” Daniel peacefully passed away October 25, 2023, surrounded by his family to his Heavenly Home. He was born on June 27, 1947, in San Angelo, Tx, to Marvin and Annie (Young) Daniel. Andy married his high school sweetheart Sue (Caldwell) Daniel in 1966.
He left a 76-year-old Legacy and a lifetime of beautiful memories. He loved his family and friends with all his heart. Growing up he was involved with the Salvation Army Church. Shortly after marrying his wife, he was drafted to the Army where he served in Korea for a year. After getting honorably discharged he returned home to his wife and first-born child. Andy then got involved with Trinity Lutheran Church, where he loved to teach children's Sunday school and attend service regularly. Andy took great pride in coaching his children and grandchildren. He was their greatest coach on and off the field. He had a passion for not only coaching but teaching as well. After teaching, Andy opened a mechanic shop “Daniel Automotive” where his hard work was on great display. Andy enjoyed being an active member of various organizations including the Lions Club, La Paloma dance club, bowling league, and being on the board of the Northern Little League. Later in his life he worked for Glasscock Chevrolet where his hard work continued. Of all the jobs and work Andy did, the most remarkable thing about him was his love for Jesus. His main goal and priority was to love people the way that he knew Christ loved him.
