Frieda Naidine Yardley Hanusch Ingram passed away peacefully into the gates of heaven Friday, July 28th, 2023. Frieda was born May 6, 1936 in Menard County to Eli Freeman and Hattie May Yardley.
She attended school in Eldorado, Texas where she met and married Ray Hanusch on April 18, 1952. Ray and Frieda were married 51 years until his death in 2003.
After Ray’s passing, Frieda and her son Walter enjoyed many evenings out on the town dancing at The Coachman Club. This is where she found the second love of her life, Bill Ingram. The two were married July 5, 2008. They enjoyed traveling until his health decline and his passing in May 2011.
Frieda was an avid bowler for many years. She also loved spending her time volunteering at Community Hospital.
Ray and Frieda had three children all of whom were raised in Eldorado. Judy Pridemore and son-in-law Gary of Christoval, the late Walter Hanusch and daughter-in-law JoAnn of San Angelo, and Janette Doyle of Sulphur Springs.
Frieda is also survived by her most prized possessions, her six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. There would always be an argument as to who her favorite grandchild was. For anyone who knew Frieda knew that she loved her grandchildren all the same. Her grandkids include: Shane Pridemore and wife Janna of Junction, Ray Hanusch of San Angelo, Kristy Keller and husband Neal of Liberty Hill, April Dabbs and husband Wiley of Marathon, Michael Armentrout and wife Melissa of Coppell, and Ryan Doyle of Carrollton.
Frieda is also survived by one sister-in-law, Laverne Crump, of Sulphur Springs along with numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, her brother, two sisters and her beloved son.
A very warm and loving thanks go to her caregivers, especially in her final weeks, Stephanie Melendez and Shelly Leschuga. Also, thanks goes to Gentiva Hospice care.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the West Texas Boys Ranch in her honor.
Frieda will be available for viewing from 12:00 PM to 7:00 P.M. Tuesday, August 1, 2023 at Harper Funeral Home.
