Mr. Navarro was born in San Angelo on February 18, 1937 to Felix R. Navarro, Sr. and Ernesta Rios Navarro. Joe has lived in San Angelo all of his life. On April 27, 1968 he was united in marriage with Yolanda Aguilar. This union produced two sons, Robert and Richard.
God gave Joe the natural talent of playing the guitar. He played the requinto in several mariachi groups for many years and played in the church Spanish choir at St. Joseph's Catholic Church for over 50 years. Joe took pride in having his grandchildren playing musical instruments, especially two grandsons that play the guitar and a granddaughter that played the violin and sang in the Texas A&M mariachi group.
Joe was the "clown" of his family, never met a stranger, and enjoyed life to the fullest. He very much, enjoyed family get togethers. Joe loved playing the guitar, organ, and the piano.
