Mario Aguero, 90, a regal and valiant man, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on March 1, 2023 surrounded by his loved ones in San Angelo.
Viewing will be from 1:00 PM - 8:00 PM Sunday, March 5, 2023 at Robert Massie Funeral Home. Graveside services will be 10:00 AM Monday, March 6, 2023 at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens with Pastor George Varela, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home.
Mario was born to Gregorio and Rosa Aguero on April 9, 1932 in La Muralla, Coahuila, Mexico and was the oldest of 6 children. Mario married Irma Aguillon in 1968 and she passed away in 2008. He worked as a food merchandiser in Ciudad Acuña, Mexico until he migrated to the United States in 1969. He lived in Waco for 5 years where he was a farmer and then settled in San Angelo in 1974 where he raised his family. He was a longtime member and faithful servant to the Lord at Segunda Iglesia Bautista.
A fearless man whom his wife and family trusted without reserve; God blessed him with a spirit of a leader which he carried out unfalteringly. The influence of his guidance and sacrifices can be seen in his children and grandchildren.
Mario was preceded in death by a son, Mario Aguero; and three siblings, Petra Robles, Sabino Aguero, and Benigno Aguero.
Survivors include four children, Irma Aguero of San Angelo, Cynthia Aguero and husband Eddie of San Antonio, Edna Chavez and husband Phillip of San Angelo, and Mario A. Aguero and wife Maxine of Taylor; six children from a previous marriage, Mario, Ramiro, Javier, Louis, Carlos, and Anavelia; two siblings, Damian Aguero and wife Rosa of Greeley, Colorado and Josefina Pena and husband Roberto of San Angelo; 12 grandchildren, Crystal Olivan and husband Manny Pachecano, Bethanie Olivan, Myrah Olivan, Ethan Chavez, Elise Chavez, Nathaniel Chavez, Lyndse Aguero, Kayla Aguero, Soulay Aguero, Aiden Aguero, Mario Aguero, and Mayela Cardenas; four great-grandchildren, Theodore Pachecano, Atticus Pachecano, Camila Morales, and Eiza Morales.
