Lynda Lou Collins McReynolds was called home Thursday, November 24, 2022 at the age of 83. Lynda was born October 16, 1939 to Lawrence and Mary Collins. She was the youngest of five children and attended school in Kerens. She attended Powell Baptist Church and was very proud to say that her father was a Deacon in the church.
Lynda was an avid bowler from the early 60's until the late 80's. She enjoyed growing house plants and planting flowers in her yard. She enjoyed playing canasta, gin rummy, dominoes and almost any board game.
Lynda worked in the Insurance Claims industry most of her life, starting as a Claims Clerical Supervisor in Houston. She earned her Insurance Adjuster's License, specializing in Workers' Compensation claims. She later moved to Dallas where she worked for Union Standard. In the early 80's she moved to San Antonio. In San Antonio, she was Secretary/Treasurer of Jack Broome & Associates, an independent claims adjusting firm.
In 2000 Lynda moved to San Angelo to be near her family. She joined Trinity Lutheran Church and worked in the church office for a short time. For the past 2 ½ years, following the on-set of dementia, she was a resident at Bronte Health and Rehab Center where she enjoyed being pampered by their caring staff.
Lynda was preceded in death by her parents, brother Willie Lee Collins, sisters and brothers-in-law Dorothy and Bill Newsom, Ruth and Edgar Coburn, Betty and Glynn Palmer and six nieces and nephews.
