It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Norma Jean Taylor Healey of San Angelo. Norma passed away on October 26, 2022, surrounded by her loved ones after a long, courageous battle with cancer. She was born on January 7, 1958, in Dallas, TX, to parents James and Jane (Sampert) Taylor.
Norma spent her early childhood in Dallas surrounded by her large extended family. She learned how to hold her own from an early age as the only girl in a family with a brother and 7 boy cousins. When she was 13, her family moved to Junction, TX and she graduated from Junction High School in 1976.
A woman of many talents, Norma was employed in several different fields throughout the years. These included working for the IRS in Austin, as an accounts receivable clerk for a local steel company in San Angelo, and for a housekeeping service before retiring last year. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, spoiling her cat A.J., going on fun outings, listening to “oldies”, and playing card games. She was also always excited to take a trip to Brownwood to eat at Underwood’s, which was her favorite!
Norma is survived by her daughters Wendi Dominguez (Mark) and Brandi Beaulieu (Jason); her granddaughters Kaylee Stevens, Audrey Reese, and Hannah Dominguez; her sister-in-law Susan Taylor; step-niece Jessica DeMoss (Russell) and nephew Jake Taylor.
She is preceded in death by her parents James Taylor and Jane Baker, her brother Thomas Taylor, and two other siblings lost in infancy.
Norma will be remembered for her genuine smile and love of family. We are all blessed that she was part of our lives. Her memorial service will be held on November 5, 2022, at 11 am at Northside Church of Christ in San Angelo, where she was a long-time member.
