Garland Weston Haynes, 75, passed away on October 20.2022, from Alzheimer's. He fought this fight for over 12 years.
Garland was born in Brownwood, Tx on May 13, 1947. He moved to Brady, Tx the following year where he attended Brady schools and graduated from high school in 1965. Garland attended ASU and then joined the Army for 2 years. He went on to have a Mac Tool business and eventually rural mail carrier with the post office for over 20 years.
Garland was an active member of the Mustang Club and enjoyed the Saturday night church services at Sierra Vista Methodist Church where he was a member for many years.
Garland was preceded in death by his parents, Noel and Josephine Haynes, Sister, Marilyn Myrick and husband Ace, nephew, Ryan Myrick, brother-in-law, Edward Appleton, brother-in-law, Mike Sullivan, Sister-in-law, Mary Ann, recently passed brother, Byron Haynes and infant son, Weston Haynes.
Garland is survived by his wife of 46 years, Jan Haynes, son, Zack Haynes and wife, Jazmine Haynes. Granddaughter, Hartley Haynes, grandson, Bostyn Milligan, daughter, Devoni Kincaid, grandson, Kingston Kincaid, sister, Joyce Appleton, sister-in-law Connie Van Dyke and husband, Gerry, Mother-in-law, Fran Schultz, and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A memorial service will be held in the near future. Thank you to The Springs Memory Care facility and St. Gabriel’s Hospice for the wonderful care given to Garland in his final years.
