Burial, with military honors, will follow in Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home.
Mr. Sevier was born on July 8, 1962 in Ft. Worth to Celia and Victor G. Sevier. He graduated from San Angelo Lake View High School in 1980 and attended Angelo State University before enlisting in the United States Navy in 1984. Because of his superior intellect, he was selected to serve as an Electrical Technician in the prestigious Submarine Nuclear Defense Program for which he achieved the rank of Petty Officer Second Class.
After his time in the Navy, Pat settled in San Diego, California where he met and married Becky Klaudt. They moved to her home state of Washington and though they parted, Pat spent the majority of his adulthood in the Pacific Northwest. Pat earned an Associate Degree as a Machinist. He worked for a quartz manufacturing company, Weiss Manufacturing, where he refined his machinist skills. He utilized these skills while working as a Machining Technology Instructor at Vancouver Washington Clark Community College. He worked for the college for several years until he retired as a tenured Associate Professor in 2020.
After his retirement, Pat moved back to Texas and settled in Fort Worth where he spent much time and effort purchasing and renovating multiple properties. Pat often spoke about his goal to care for his mother, siblings, nieces, and nephews by leaving a home or property to each upon his passing. Incredibly, he met his goal; even though he did not get to see the deep, positive impact that his hard work made to his family's legacy.
Pat's intelligence, generosity, and wicked sense of humor were some of his finest qualities. He didn't just speak about caring for others, he lived it. In addition to his family members, his property renters, colleagues, and random strangers were often recipients of his generous support.
Pat loved to fish and spent many holidays and took family and friends on fishing expeditions with him. He also loved all things LEGOs. He owned countless boxes of them and sent many to his nieces and nephews and great niece and nephew. He never declined a LEGO challenge, even from his adult nephews.
Pat was raised in the Catholic Faith and received all of his sacraments. He served as an altar server in his youth. Though he seldom darkened the doorway of a church as an adult, he always attended mass with his mother, Celia, at her every request. And though he was not a church member, he spent his life living like a true Christian, deeply caring for his family and community.
Pat was preceded in death by his brother, David Ray Sevier in 2016, and Father, Victor G. Sevier.
He is survived by his mother, Celia Sevier of San Angelo; brother, Victor Sevier and wife Carla of Austin; two sisters, Angie Sevier of Austin; and Imelda Sevier Peterson and husband Roderick of Arlington; nieces and nephews, Tamara Munoz III and husband Arthur and great nephew, Arthur Patrick Munoz IV all of Austin; niece, Victoria Baker and husband Cody and great niece, Zelie Baker all of Austin; nephew, Aubrey Wellington "Wells" Peterson of Arlington, and nephew Alexander Rey Sevier of Fort Worth.
Pat was a quiet, intelligent, funny, generous, gentle giant of a man. He will be greatly missed by family, friends, and many who knew him because to know Pat was to love him.
