Alexis “Nikki” Lewis, 27 of San Angelo passed away peacefully on September 13, 2022 in Tom Green County.
Alexis was born in San Angelo to Angela Lewis and Michael Thomas on June 14, 1995. She graduated from Grape Creek High School in 2013. She worked for The Lighthouse for the Blind for several years and made many friends. She spoke often of you.
Alexis was preceded in death by her favorite Great Uncle Clifton Grimes.
Alexis is survived by three brothers: Steven Thomas and wife Shannon, of Wilmeth, Texas; Austin Thomas of Las Vegas, Nevada; Thomas Craddick of San Angelo and two sisters: Cynthia Craddick of San Angelo; and Madison Thomas of Denver, Colorado. Her parents: Angela Thomas of San Angelo and Michael Thomas of Springfield, Missouri; Step Dad Mark Craddick of San Angelo. Grandparents: James and Mary Lewis of San Angelo and Martha and Harry O’Donnell of Springfield, Missouri; Uncles: Troy Lewis and wife Cindy of Clermont, Florida; Mark Lewis and wife Cindy Lou, of Altamont, Tennessee; John Lewis and wife Brenda of San Angelo; Aunt: Joy Lewis Haynes, of Florida; nephew Levi Thomas and niece Teagan Thomas and many cousins and friends.

Alexis loved everyone. She loved working at the Lighthouse and especially all her friends there. She missed them so much when she was no longer able to work. She loved all her doctors and looked forward to her appointments so she could visit and bring them up to date on her life.
The family of Alexis Lewis wishes to extend our sincere thanks to her doctors and their staff who cared for her so tenderly. Most of all we want to thank God for the privilege of having her in our lives. She was a 27 year miracle, and we miss her so much.
Visitation is Sunday September 18, 2022 from 2-6 pm at Shaffer Funeral Home, 1939 Sherwood Way, San Angelo, Texas 325-224-2828
Funeral Services will be held at 10 am at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints 2815 Old Christoval Road, San Angelo, Texas. A Graveside service will be held around 12 noon for those wishing to attend at Wilmeth Cemetery, FM 383 Wilmeth, Texas.
