Michelle Raye Lawler, 53, of Big Lake was called home on August 22, 2022.
Michelle was born to Jesse Tucker and Elaine Halley on June 14, 1969. She was a 1987 graduate of Reagan County High School and was always proud of her hometown. Michelle never met a stranger and to know her was to love her. She was quick-witted and was always keeping everyone on their toes. Michelle enjoyed keeping busy and spending time with family and could often be found working on her lawn, doing projects around the house, spending time with her children, or at work. She spent many years working for Grandmas Kitchen and considered all her coworkers and customers family too.
One of her favorite titles was Mom and was always proud of her children Jessica, Mikayla, and Sierra. She never missed an opportunity to tell everyone about them or be by their sides for anything big or small. Throughout the years she gained many honorary children and grandchildren including Whitney Benitez and husband Lorenzo who she claimed as her own. In 2016 she took on her biggest and most important role of Nana. Her granddaughters were the light of her life, and she wore the title proudly. Countless children around town knew her as Nana and she loved each of them all.
She is proceeded in death by her father Jesse and wife Kay, mother Elaine and husband Buddy. Michelle is survived by children Jessica, Mikayla, Sierra, Whitney and Lorenzo of Big Lake, granddaughters Zoey and Zailey and countless friends and loved ones.
Memorial services will be held Monday August 29, 2022, at 10 am at First Baptist Church in Big Lake, Texas.
