Lamoine Abbott went home to be with the Lord on August 17, 2022, at the age of 94. She was born on November 1, 1927, in Hastings, OK to her parents, John Turman and Pauline Abbott.
Lamoine grew up in San Angelo, TX along with her brother Leon Abbott. She was the heart of the family. She was no stranger to hard work and taught her children honesty, faith and kindness above all else.
She is survived by her children Paula McClure (Paul), Cay Edling (Dwayne) and Todd Helton (Teresa), seven grandchildren, six great grandchildren and four great, great grandchildren.
Lamoine started out working in real estate before finding her love of antiques. During her years of antiquing, she traveled abroad to bring treasured pieces to west Texas. She owned and operated several antique shops, the Antique Barn and Washington Square. Always a woman of vision she brought to life the Concho Street with Concho Confetti Antique Mall. That not being enough she marched across the street and built Concho Crossing shopping mall.
She was a lifelong member of Johnson Street Church of Christ church.
Special thanks to the numerous caregivers who have assisted in her journey. They graciously allowed our mother to live with dignity. Especially Marsha, Annesa and Lisa plus the staff at New Haven Assisted Living and Hospice of San Angelo. A private service will be held. Donations may be made to Children’s Miracle Network or Hospice of San Angelo.
“We are heartbroken to lose you but know we will all be together again one day.”
