Rodolfo G. Treviño, 93, of San Angelo went to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, August 16, 2022, in Grand Prairie, TX. Rodolfo was born January 28, 1929, in Ciudad Acuña, Mexico to David and Concepcion Garcia Trevino. He grew up in Acuña and graduated from high school there. Rodolfo met and later married the love of his life Maria Olivia Garza on September 24, 1949. In 1959, they moved to San Angelo, Texas where they made their home for over 50 years and raised four children. He worked for Ethicon as a maintenance foreman until his retirement in 1991. Rodolfo was a loving son, brother, husband, father, and grandfather who devoted his life to his family.
Rodolfo was a visionary and wise man. In 1954 he brought his family to the United States believing in the American Dream. He wanted his children to have the opportunity to receive a higher education that was not afforded him. He was a hard worker, a provider, and most of all, a man who accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. Proverbs 24:3-4 (NIV) says “By wisdom a house is built, and through understanding it is established; through knowledge its rooms are filled with rare and beautiful treasures.” As your children, we thank you and love you for all the life lessons you taught us. You will forever be in our hearts.
Rodolfo was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Olivia, his son, Rodolfo Treviño, Jr., and three brothers. He is survived by his children, Santa Peña and her husband Lorenzo, of Grand Prairie, Sylvia Garcia and her husband Larry, of San Angelo, Jerry Treviño, of San Angelo; his daughter-in-law, Yvonne Treviño, of San Angelo; his grandchildren, Jeremiah Peña and his wife Elizabeth, of Watauga, TX, Jason Peña and his wife Allison, of Grand Prairie, Hector Martinez and his wife Stephanie, of San Angelo, Joshua Martinez and his husband Ben Howell, of Austin; Seve Treviño and Lianna Treviño, both of Salt Lake City, UT, Tara Harston and her husband Brandon, of McKinney, TX, and David Treviño and his wife Méure, of Tampa, FL; great grandchildren, Sorin Peña, Rileigh Peña, Nathaniel Peña, Celeste Martinez, Nate Martinez and Olivia Treviño; and numerous nieces and nephews and other family members.
