Mario Guadalupe Arreola, 61, of San Angelo went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 2, 2022, in Abilene, TX.
Mario was born December 12, 1960, in San Carlos, Coahuila, Mexico to Rodolfo Arreola and Felis “Maria” Rodriguez de Arreola. He grew up in San Carlos and graduated from Escuela Rafael Ramirez and Escuela Secundaria Tecnica #20. He met and married Elsa Guadalupe Rodriguez on August 16, 1977, and they had two beautiful daughters, Brenda and Adriana. Mario worked as a roustabout in the petroleum industry for over 20 years. He was a hardworking, charismatic, generous, kind and loving son, brother, husband, father, and grandfather who loved spending time with his family and friends, especially his mom. They loved watching novelas together. Mario was a joyous man, who loved making people laugh and making friends wherever he went. He was always willing to help family, friends, or anyone in need at any time. Mario had a tremendous faith in God and was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. He loved his Catholic faith and always held a special devotion to the Virgin De Guadalupe.
After moving to San Angelo, he helped out at the family restaurants. Mario greeted customers with his great sense of humor. He bonded quickly with all the employees at any location. Mario would fill any room with his happiness and goofiness by using anything from his love of music and unique dancing skills to his shoe shining. Above all else, Mario’s favorite thing to do besides dancing was riding his tricycle downs the streets. His love for family and friends and happy demeanor will remain in our hearts forever and we will dearly miss him!
Mario was preceded in death by his Parents, his wife Elsa, daughter Adriana and 2 brothers. He is survived by his daughter, Brenda Garcia, and her husband Jose, of San Angelo; his sons, Jose Omar Arreola, of Austin, TX, Mario Eduardo Arreola, of Del Rio, TX, and Marco Antonio Arreola, of San Angelo; 3 Grandchildren, Adriana, Leeanna and Julian Garcia, all of San Angelo; 4 sisters; 5 brothers; and numerous nieces and nephews, other family members and close friends.
