Marvin Jim Ferguson, 72, of San Angelo passed away Friday, July 22, 2022.
No services are scheduled at this time. Arrangements are under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home.
Mr. Ferguson was born on February 12, 1950 in Brady and graduated from San Angelo Lakeview High School. He served in the U.S. Army as a sniper during the Vietnam War. He was awarded the Purple Heart before his discharge in 1970. Jim was a home builder in San Angelo for 15-20 years. He later worked in the county road department as a mower. Jim married Karen Keene on September 21, 2000. He spent his spare time building computers and donating them to schools and children in need. Jim loved to go on cruises, paint, ride his motorcycle to poker runs and spend time with his family.
Jim was preceded in death by a son, Byron Dowdy.
Survivors include his wife of the home; a son, Blaine Ferguson of San Angelo; a daughter, Shonda Estelle Ferguson of Ballinger; two brothers, Michael Ferguson of Robert Lee and Dannie Ferguson of San Angelo; six grandchildren and one great-grandson.
