James Richard Calvert passed peacefully from this world early in the morning of July 10th. Known as ‘Jim’ to friends and family he was born to Bill and Madeline Calvert on Dec. 5, 1938 in Sacramento, CA. Jim graduated from El Camino H.S. in 1956. He spent his career in Sacramento as a Credit Collections Manager. Jim enjoyed many outdoor activities including riding dirt bikes, waterskiing, traveling and camping.
Since moving to San Angelo in 2004 Jim was active in Lions Club, delivering meals for Meals for the Elderly and spending the summer months volunteering in various State Parks in the Western U.S.
Jim is survived by his wife of 33 years, Lois; his daughters Lori Calvert of Sacramento and Gaylene Lambson (Douglas) of Logan, IA; Step-sons Tim Reynolds (Felicia) of Georgetown, TX., and Robert Reynolds (Debra) of Winterhaven, FL., brother Ed Calvert (Gracie) of Burney, CA., 10 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
There is not a service planned at this time. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be sent to Meals For The Elderly, Cal Farley Boys Ranch or any other charity of your choice.
