Callie Francis Wagley, 95, went to be with her Lord and Savior on June 14, 2022, in San Antonio, with loving family by her side.
Graveside services will be held in Eldorado, Texas, on Saturday, June 18, 2022, at 11:00 A. M. Her very special officiant will be Mills Caraway.
Callie was born in Demitt, Texas, to Vivian Hicks and Leroy Hicks. After she graduated from Demitt High School, she went to Texas Tech but left college to marry Joe A. Wagley. They moved to Eldorado, Texas, where they raised their two children, Jody and Jan. During the early years, Callie was a homemaker and accomplished seamstress. She was a faithful member of the Eldorado Baptist Church, where she made sure that her family was in attendance every Sunday morning. After the children graduated from high school, Joe and Callie moved to San Angelo, where she began her career in real estate. Callie's career continued for the next thirty years. She relished in finding "just the right house" for her clients. After the death of beloved husband Joe, after forty-eight years of marriage, Callie and her mother moved to San Antonio to live with her daughter Jan. It was there that Callie enjoyed her grandchildren, on-line shopping, and lots of card games.
Callie was preceded in death by her husband, Joe A. Wagley, her parents Vivian and Leroy Hicks, her grandson Chad Wagley, her sister Ginnie Nelson, and her daughter-in-law, Lois Akins Wagley. She is survived by her son Joe R. Wagley of San Angelo, her daughter Jan Pair and her husband Gary Pair of San Antonio, her granddaughters Amy Mimms and husband Bill Mimms, April Gale and husband Jason Gale, Gail Wagley, her grandsons Scott Akins and wife Shannon, Blake Akins
and wife Amy, her great-grandchildren Mallory Gale Smith and husband Michael Smith, Braden Gale, Barrett Gale, Callie Mimms, Paige Mimms, Conner Akins and wife Allie, Will Akins, Addison Akins, Ellie Akins, and Noland Akins.
