Rudy "Rude Dogg" Vijil

Rudy "Rude Dogg" Vijil, Sr., 46, of San Angelo passed away Monday, April 25, 2022 at his home.

Public viewing will be from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM Tuesday, April 26, 2022 at Robert Massie Riverside Chapel. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Wednesday, April 27, 2022 at Robert Massie Riverside Chapel.

Mr Vijil was born on February 1, 1976 in San Angelo and attended Central High School. He was a machine operator at Hirschfeld Steel for 12 years. Rudy was later head maintenance a Limestone Apartments in Big Spring and River Point Apartments in San Angelo. He loved the San Antonio Spurs and the San Francisco 49ers. Rudy enjoyed traveling, camping, playing disc golf, and fishing.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Rosendo Lupe Reyna and his father, Alfredo Ortiz Vijil, Sr.

Survivors include his wife, Rose vijil of San Angelo; five sons, Rudy Morales Vijil, Jr., Mark Anthony Vijil, Jordan Jacob Vijil, and Eric Samaniego, all of San Angelo, and John Paul Samaniego of San Antonio; two daughters, Sariah Rebecca Marie Vjil and Lupe Rodriguez, both of San Angelo; mother, Odulia Vijil of San Angelo; four grandchildren, Jeremiah, Gabriel, Zaydrian, and Benjamin; brother, Freddie Vijil, Jr. and wife Joann of San Antonio; sister, Veronica Lopez of San Angelo; three nephews, Adrian Vijil of San Angelo, Josh Vijil and Steve Vijil both of San Antonio; three nieces, Angela Vijil of San Angelo, Mercedes Vijil and Nya Samaniego of San Antonio.
