Monroe Lee Williams was born to Beatrice and A.J. Williams on January 29, 1946, in Brady, Texas. He attended school in Brady and San Angelo. Monroe accepted Christ at an early age as his Lord and Savior. Monroe moved to Los Angeles, CA. in the early 60’s. And later moved back to Texas in the 70’s. Through the years Monroe was employed at Pool Company, Baptist Memorial Hospital, and retired from S.A.I.S.D. Monroe loved his Cadillacs, and going fishing – not to mention at any given moment going to San Antonio to visit his son and family members.
Monroe was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and one sister. Monroe leaves to cherish his memory: wife, Charlotte Pullen Williams; son Darrell Williams (Julian) of San Antonio; daughter, Juana Williams Tobin (Michael) of Omaha, NE; sister, Clara B. Williams of Austin; Aunt Fannie M. Hayes of San Angelo; seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Along with a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. Also, special friends Eddie Moutry, Samuel Miles, Melvin Robinson, and Jessie Filmore.
A Visitation for friends and family will be held Friday, April 15, 2022, from 5:00pm-8:00pm at Harper Funeral Home. The Funeral service will be 10:00am, Saturday, April 16, 2022, at Galilee Baptist with burial to follow at Fairmount Cemetery.
