Ida Doris Barron passed away March 31, 2022 and entered Heaven’s gates on her 93rd birthday.
She was the daughter of Clyde R. and Gladys Barron, born March 31, 1929 at their home in Wall, Texas
Doris was preceded in death by her parents, former husband Alvin Miller, son Ronnie Miller, infant son Donald Louis Miller, and brother Clyde Barron Jr.
She was a loving daughter, wife, sister, mother, aunt, and friend to many. Doris graduated from Wall High School and attended San Angelo College where she was a Majorette in the Ram band. Professionally, she was co-owner of Texan Boat Company and served as RD Barron’s executive secretary 20 years at Barron Plumbing, Inc.
Doris also served her community as a Deputy in the Tom Green County Sheriff’s Department. She was a member of St. Luke’s Methodist Church. Her favorite activities included Go Cart racing with her family and playing bridge with her dear friends as well as competitive bridge clubs.
Doris enjoyed traveling and music, especially when her son played with the Cavaliers band. She was also a charter member of the Elvis Presley Fan Club.
Surviving Doris are her brothers, Weldon Barron of Ozona, RD and Mary Dell Barron of San Angelo. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews: Kevin, Lisa, and Kanyn Barron, Sawyer Lloyd, Jessie, Rollins, and Brady Rosenquist; Ricky and Paula Barron; Tyler, Leah, and Des Barron, Madison, and Michelle Barron; Coltyn and Miriam Wagnon, Miah, and Ronnie Pullen; Michelle Barron Smith; Cathy Jean Barron; Randy Barron; Becky, Donnie, Ciera, Dakota, Shayla, Layla, and Daityn Lee; Monette and Tom Wilborn; cousins and dear friends.
The family wishes to extend heartfelt appreciation to all of Doris’ caregivers at Meadow Creek and Hospice of San Angelo for their loving care and support. Also, to Southland Baptist Church for their prayer ministry, visits, and cards.
A private memorial service will be held at a later time.
