Jo Carter passed away on January 4, 2022. Jo was born December 17, 1943 in Fort Stockton to parents Homer & Lois Good. The family moved to Ozona where Jo, her younger sister and older brother were raised Baptist. Jo graduated from high school in May 1962. She met the love of her life, Frank Jr, in El Paso and married on May 7, 1963. They have two children Kimberly and Frank III. Jo was a member of the East Angelo Lioness Club and the Concho Pearl Lions Club for over 20 years.
Frank and Jo loved to dance and for 50 years belonged to La Paloma dance club, Western dance club and yearly Corollas dance club. They also liked to go on cruises and go to Las Vegas. They went on 38 cruises including Alaska, Hawaii and Caribbean.
Jo made many friends at her Community Health Club swim class and also her Red Hatters society club. They were like family and she cherished their friendships.
Jo is survived by husband Frank, daughter Kimberly Floyd (Robert), son Frank Carter III (Shane), 3 grandchildren; Brittney Gober (Chris), Ryan Carter and Kayla Carter and her precious great granddaughter Beckett Gober. Jo LOVED all her grandchildren. Her brother, Muggins Good (Darlene) and sister Vicki Lovell (Doyle). Her parents proceeded her death along with her nephew David.
The family would like to thank St Joseph Hospice and caretakers Melissa, Molly, Liz, Tammy, Mary and Tia. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the David Lovell Scholarship Fund at PO Box 259 Wall, Texas or Parkinson.
Jo always quoted Cher saying “If I could turn back time”! The family is respecting Jo’s wishes and will not be having a service. She wanted everyone to remember her like she was.
