Ronnie Paul Salvato,75, of San Angelo went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 8, 2021 in San Angelo.
Ronnie was born on August 25, 1946, to Nick Rotello Salvato and Mary Ann Perrone Salvato. Ronnie attended Reagan Elementary and Edison Jr. High before graduating from San Angelo Barber College. He was a barber for 50 years in San Angelo. His first job was working for Guthrie's Barber Shop for two years, and then he opened his own shop, Ron’s Old Fashioned Barber Shop, giving $6.00 haircuts until his retirement two years ago. He cut children’s hair until they were adults and brought their own children in for cuts! Ronnie was a very kind man who never met a stranger and always had a smile on his face. No matter where he went, he always saw someone he knew. He enjoyed watching Westerns, especially John Wayne. He loved a good joke and he liked playing cornhole. He was a natural at it and beat most of the competition! Ronnie was living at the Rio Concho Terrace for the last two years. He was a lifelong resident of San Angelo and was a member of Sacred Heart Cathedral. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his Father and Mother; Brothers T.J., Mike and Paul Anthony Salvato; Brother-In-Law Al Dodson.
He is survived by his sisters, Nickie Dodson Williams, and husband Mansel, Toni Salvato Wright, and husband Carl; Nephews Barrett Salvato, Nicholas Salvato, Tarone Salvato, Marc Salvato, Brody Dodson, Michael Wright and Dustin Wright; Nieces Crysti Elder and Mysti Dodson as well as numerous great-nieces and nephews.
