Rhonda G. Robinson gained her Angel wings and flew into the arms of Jesus in the early morning hours of Tuesday, November 9, 2021.
She was born on February 25, 1957 in Clarksdale, Mississippi to Curtis & Irene (Kennedy) Robinson.
Rhonda's early years were spent in Greenville and Tupelo of the Mississippi Delta. She graduated from Greenville High School and studied Accounting at Itawamba Community College in Tupelo, MS. She worked many years in MS Nursing Homes and had a special calling for Senior Adults.
In 1982, Rhonda moved with her family to San Angelo continuing accounting studies, while working for Jones, Hay, Sanders
Accounting. She then transitioned her accounting & bookkeeping skills into the oil and gas industry, working for Tucker Drilling Company until they closed in the early 2000's. Tucker Drilling was a close-knit group and they treated her like family.
During this interim, she worked for Decoty Coffee, TXP, and Ranger Aviation and loved each experience.
Rhonda began working the oil & gas industry again in 2006, as Office Manager for Geosite Inc. She finished her career there, working until the day before her passing, always enjoying the camaraderie with co-workers and the family atmosphere. She formed lifetime friendships at each of her places of employment and was known for her loyalty.
Rhonda was preceded in death by her father, William Curtis Robinson. She is survived by her Mother, Irene Robinson, Brother, Michael Robinson (Kathy), Sister, Renee Jenkins, Nieces Rachel Riviello (Ryan) Zac; Julie Mullins, Kaylie Ulrich (Kelley), Blayden; Kristy Mullins; Jennifer Wright, McKenzie, Kaden, Kolby; Nephews Bryan Jenkins (Kristine) Liam; Clark Robinson (Jennifer) Killian & Jackson; Austin Robinson (Dianne),Olive & Flint; Jeremy Wright (Samantha) Aubrey, Tristan, Landon, & Brinley.
Rhonda is also survived by her "second family", long-time friend, Kathy Park, Leslie Williams (Monty) Bethany, Landon, Selah, Dawson, Krissy Beth Blex (Tony) Karis, Baron and Brystal.
Rhonda was actively involved and sang on the Praise & Worship team of her church, Evangel Assembly of God. She had a voice like an Angel. She was a 35 year Volunteer with the San Angelo Stock Show & Rodeo, past member of Desk & Derrick Club & Concho Cadre. Rhonda also played Softball for many years on the church team and also went to State with the infamous Weavil's team. Rhonda loved outdoor activities, spending many hours fishing out of her boat or sitting on the bank of the lake or river.
Everyone says that "Rhonda never met a stranger". She sincerely cared about people and was always interested in their lives. She was a best friend to many.
"Celebration of Life" service will be Sunday, November 14 at 3:00pm at Evangel Temple Assembly of God, 201 N. Campus Blvd, San Angelo, Tx.
