Myrna Nadine Casbeer Turner passed peacefully from this life and to eternal rest on August 6, 2021 at 12:25 a.m. in San Angelo, Texas. Nadine was born to Daniel and Zelda Mae Casbeer in Midland, Texas in 1936 and lived the majority of her youth in Midland, Texas and Ft. Davis, Texas before moving to Kermit, Texas in 1953 where she attended and graduated from Kermit High School. In the spring of 1954, she met Albert Orval (Red) Turner, the man who was to become her devoted husband, love of her life, and life partner for the next 66 years. The two met on a double blind date in April, 1954, instantly had that “spark”, and married September 11, 1954. The newlyweds set up house in Kermit, Texas where they resided until their retirement to San Angelo in 1994.
Nadine lived a full and blessed life as daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She worked for many years as an outstanding Sears Manager in Kermit, Texas. Through the years, Nadine had many passions: she loved following and supporting her children and grandchildren at sports events, traveling through national parks, square dancing, scrapbooking ( making gifts of them to all her children and grandchildren ), oil painting and trips to San Angelo’s Senior Center, and family genealogy.
Nadine is preceded in death by her parents and her in-laws Albert Orval Turner Sr. and Daisy Mae Turner and one grandson, Michael Reynolds. She is survived by her husband Albert Orval (Red) Turner, her three children Janice Reynolds (Mike) of Joshua, Texas; John Turner (Tammie) of Bronte, Texas; and Robert (Bob) Turner (Evelyn Tyssen) of Clifton, Texas. Nadine believed her grandchildren were among her greatest blessings include: Stephen Reynolds (Jenny) of Denton, Texas; Anthony Reynolds of Joshua, Texas; John Turner Jr., of Big Spring, Texas; Kristi Rainey (D.J.) of Mertzon, Texas; Alyx Douglass (John) of Lubbock, Texas; and Staff Sgt. Kirby Turner (Kylee) of Swansboro, North Carolina. She is also survived by nine great grandchildren: Jocelyn, Cooper, Melanie, Baylee, Taylor, Dava, Ella, Kiera, and Jackson and three sisters-in-law and many nieces and nephews.
Nadine will be forever in the hearts of those who knew her strong spirit and her love of conversation!
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 11, 2021 at 10:00 AM at Harper Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens.
