David Eugene Pate, 69, of San Angelo went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 30, 2021 in San Angelo. David was born February 26, 1952 in Monett, Missouri to Thurman C. and Thelma L. Pruitt Pate. He attended Lakeview High School in San Angelo but relocated to California and graduated from High School there. David enlisted in the United States Air Force just after high school and served his country honorably until his retirement in 1992. After his retirement, he would go on to receive his bachelor’s degree in electronics and relocated back to San Angelo where he began his second career programming, and servicing ATM machines. David married Tricia Marie Sims on April 14, 2005 and they shared 15 beautiful years together. He was a loving son, brother, father, and grandfather who enjoyed being around his family. David had a loving and kind spirit and a quiet nature about him. He was an avid reader and enjoyed working in his yard daily. His quiet nature and kind and loving spirit will remain in our hearts forever and we will dearly miss him! David was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Thurman C. Pate, Jr., and one grandchild, Caitlyn Pate. He is survived by his wife, Tricia Pate, of San Angelo; his children, Joe David Pate and his wife Amanda, and Amy Sue Thomas, all of San Angelo; his three grandchildren, Chelsey Pate, Jacob Pate and Ashley Richardson and her husband T. J; his great grandson, Blake Richardson; his brother, Lee Earl Pate and his wife Sherry, of Mission Viejo, CA; and his two sisters, Judy Harold and her husband Will, of Coeur D’ Alene, ID and Debbie Leedy and her husband Scott, of Valley Spring, CA; and numerous nieces and nephews. The Graveside Service will be 11:00 A.M., Saturday, April 3, 2021 at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens with Elizabeth Barr HOSA Chaplain officiating.
