On Thursday March 18, 2021, Richard Alan Way, loving husband and father of three passed away at the age of 66.
Richard was born to Mr. Lacy Dan Way and Mrs. Doris Pembrook Way of Big Lake, Texas on October 13th, 1954, the youngest of four children. He later moved to San Angelo, TX where he received his degree in Computer Science from Angelo State University. On November 9th, 1991 he married Sue Langenfeld and together they built a beautiful life raising three children, Lacy Dan, Rihana and Tara and spoiling 7 grandchildren, Tatium, James, Evan, Audrey, Scarlett, Barry the Third and Isla.
Richard never met a stranger and his gift for gab created a large circle of friends all of whom he treasured. Richard had a love for the outdoors, for building and an innate curiosity that he shared with his children, grandchildren and friends. He was known for his quick wit, generosity and welcoming spirit.
Richard was preceded in death by his father Mr. Lacy Dan Way, his mother Mrs. Doris Pembrook Way and sister Linda Way. He is survived by his loving wife Sue Way, his son Lacy Dan Way and wife Andrea, his daughter Rihana Saintsing and husband Barry, step- daughter Tara Flora and husband Gunnar, seven grandchildren Tatium, James, Evan, Audrey, Scarlett, Barry the Third and Isla. His sister Ann Schneeman and husband Bill , His brother Ralph Way and wife Ann. Dear family friends Travis and Ann Ahlers along with numerous nieces and nephews and a multitude of friends.
A visitation will be on Sunday, March 21, 2021 at Harper Funeral Home from 6:00-8:00pm. Funeral service will be held on Monday, March 22, 2021 at Harper Funeral Home at 1:00pm with burial to follow at Glen Rest Cemetery in Big Lake, TX.
