Carrol Edward Hill, 74, of San Angelo, was born on July 5, 1946, the youngest son of Allen and Loma Hill. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend.
His faith in Christ and love of God were evident in his daily living and was an example to others. Carrol met his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, Mon¬day, March 15, 2021 after a 46-day battle of the effects of Covid.
Carrol grew up in the Lometa, Lampasas and San Saba area and graduated from San Saba High School. He attended Tarleton State University and eventually moved to San Angelo where he met the love of his life, Chloe Jane Ratliff. Carrol and Chloe soon married and built their life and family together sharing more than 50 years.
Carrol began his banking career at First National Bank of San Angelo but would spend most of his time at West Side National Bank (Bank of The West) becoming a commercial loan officer and achieving the status of Vice President. Carrol later moved to First Financial Bank of San Angelo and retired from there as Senior Vice President. For more than 40 years as a commercial loan officer, he enjoyed helping many customers with their businesses.
Carrol (Dad) has brought us joy, made us laugh, and shown his love, and blessed our memories forever. He loved his family, friends, good conversations and hunting and fishing. He also loved going to the Coast in Port Aransas.
Carrol and Chloe were members of Freedom Fellowship Church in San Angelo. They loved having “Life Group” in their home, preparing Com¬munion weekly for their Freedom Fellowship Family, and ministering to couples that were hurting. His passion for helping others and his legacy of faith and restoration will continue for generations to come.
Our parting is not the end of relationship with Carrol, only an interrup¬tion. Our loved one is experiencing the joy of Christ’s presence in a place so wonderful that Christ called it “Paradise.” And one day, we are told in a magnificent reunion, Carrol and those who believe will be with the Lord forever. Therefore, encourage each other with these words!!”
Carrol was preceded in death by his parents Loma and Allen Hill, sister-in-law Paula Hill and Son William Clint Hill.
Those left to cherish his memories are his beloved wife Chloe Jane, his sons Craig Hill and his wife Becky and Clark Hill; his Grandsons, Chase Hill and his wife Kelli, Jacob Daughtry and his wife, Kaylee and Matt Addison; his Great Grandson, Wyatt Hill; and his brother, Durwin Hill and his wife, Donna and a host of family and friends.
