Wade moved to west Texas at the age of 17, where he essentially started his lifelong adventure in helping others keep their vehicles running. He and his twin brother, at the early age of 10 overhauled an old school bus and engine and drove it around in their parent’s pasture before being caught and having the bus confiscated.

It was in Big Lake that he met the love of his life, Darlynne LaRue Hart, and married her on September 11, 1954. It was there they spent 66 loving years together and raised two sons.
In 1958, Wade partnered with his twin brother Wayne and purchased Poteet Motor Company where it became Jones Garage. He spent 45 years in the business. It was there he and Wayne developed the fine reputation of good honest work. Known as “The Jones Boys” throughout west Texas it was often said that if they couldn’t fix it, it probably wasn’t broken. And they often said, “If we do a good job, tell others and if we do a poor job, tell us---we will make it right”.
