Herbert C. "Herbie" Noelke III

Herbert C. Noelke passed from this life on December 10, 2020. He was born July 1, 1943 in Columbus, Georgia to Herbert and Freida Noelke. Herbie grew up on his family ranch in Sheffield, Texas and lived there his entire life. His parents preceded him in death. Herbie is survived by his wife Dian of 42 years, children Cuatro (Lovie), Jolene (James), Colt (Heather), stepsons, Stephen (Jennifer), and Jeremy (Alex) Langhor, sister, Freida Kay Davenport (Jerry) and nine grandchildren. 
Herbie grew up fast as his father passed in 1955 when he was 12 years old. He helped his mother run the family ranch until she passed in 1969. He ran the ranch for over 60 years. Herbie enjoyed his life on the ranch for he was a man of the land raising sheep and goats for a living. 
He likes fly fishing, Colorado trips, hunting, shooting (collected Ruger firearms) and anything involving family. 
Herbie was well known and respected in the community having many friends and acquaintances. He will be missed by all. 
Services will be conducted by Jodie Weeks and David Brown. Pall bearers will be Don Jackson, Ty Allen, Mike Jernigan, Roger Coots, Mont Cravens, Darrell Rogers, Quentin Noelke, Will Moore, and Melvin McCabe. 
Graveside service will be held Wednesday, December 16, 2020 at 1:00pm at Sheffield Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials to your favorite charities.
